Type E plugs are earthed and have two round pins and a receptacle for a grounding pin, which is part of the Type E socket. They are used on high-powered devices and appliances with metal casings, while low-power insulated devices, like phone chargers, use Type C plugs. Modern Type E plugs will fit in any Type E or Type F
socket. Type C
plugs will also fit in Type E sockets.
Type E plugs are used in France, Belgium, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Tunisia, and parts of Africa and the Middle East.
