Type A Type A plug

Type A plugs are used in North and Central America, and Japan. They are ungrounded and have two flat parallel pins.

Type B Type B plug

Type B plugs are used alongside Type A in North and Central America, and Japan. They are grounded and have two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin.

Type C Type C plug

Type C plugs are used in Europe, South America, and Asia. They are ungrounded and have two round pins. They are used alongside a variety of grounded plug types.

Type D Type D plug

Type D plugs are used in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. They are grounded and have three round pins in a triangular pattern.

Type E Type E plug

Type E plugs are used in Europe, South America, and Asia. They are grounded and have two round pins and a receptacle grounding pin.

Type F Type F plug

Type F plugs are used in Europe, South America, and Asia. They are grounded and have two round pins and two grounding clips.

Type G Type G plug

Type G plugs are used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and other countries. They are grounded and have three rectangular pins.

Type H Type H plug

Type H plugs are used in Israel. They are grounded and have three flat pins.

Type I Type I plug

Type I plugs are used in Australia, New Zealand, and China. They are grounded and have two flat pins in a V-shape and a grounding pin.

Type J Type J plug

Type J plugs are used in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. They are grounded and have three round pins in a row.

Type K Type K plug

Type K plugs are used in Denmark and Greenland. They are grounded and have three round pins in a row, with the centre pin slightly offset.

Type L Type L plug

Type L plugs are used in Italy and Chile. They are grounded and have three round pins in a row.

Type M Type M plug

Type M plugs are used in South Africa and India. They are grounded and have three round pins in a triangular pattern.

Type N Type N plug

Type N plugs are used in Brazil. They are grounded and have three round pins in a triangular pattern.

Type O Type O plug

Type O plugs are used in Thailand. They are grounded and have three round pins in a triangular pattern. They look similar to Type M plugs, with which they are, however, not compatible.
